Scadoxus Puniceus

Now this is a come ups for the books. Look what has sprung up in my garden. Well not much of a garden, just trees and wild grass until now.

I didn’t even know their name until now. The Scadoxus puniceus, is also known as the Isiphompho, Paintbrush lily, African blood lily, King of Candida, Rooikwas, Royal paintbrush, Snake lily, and Umgola. Whatever it is called, this plant is very toxic yet at the same time used for tradition medicines.
